What is scratches? What lead to it? how to avoid it?
Types of defects you might meet on the chemical etching parts including scratches, dents, finger print, duty or rusty marks.
1. What lead to scratches? How to avoid it?
a. material itself have scratches. When we buy the stainless steel, brass or copper from the supplier, they do not protect the suface of the material.
Way to avoid it:
When source the material, ask supplier to make some protect film on both sides of the metal plate.
We need to check material surface carefully, and will pick out the scratched material, and will not use them to make your parts
b.Human factors lead to the scratches
During the production, worker pick the parts directly without putting on the gloves. This lead to the finger print and scratches
Way to avoid: all worker must put on gloves during the production
c. Surface treatment
Some times, the polishing will make some "spider webbing" scratches on the surface.
Please note that the scratch are very fine lines then 0.1 mm, just like human hair on the plate
